Team Falcons Set Up A Rematch Against The Dudley Boyz In The Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show Grand Final
Team Falcons, the favorites to win the $100,000 Pinnacle: 25 Year Anniversary Show, was surprisingly sent down to the Lower Bracket by MinD_ContRoL’s stack, The Dudley Boyz.
Though their loss against The Dudley Boyz raised a few eyebrows, Falcons could quickly prove that it was a fluke and that they are still the team likely to win the tournament.
In the Lower Bracket, Falcons took care of Virtus.Pro, one of the strongest competitors in the tournament with a score of 2-1. The MENA squad easily won the first game, and the second game looked excellent in the laning stage. However, Virtus.Pro could steal the second map from the Falcons, but it didn’t matter, as Falcons could quickly close the series by winning Game 3.
The victory against Virtus.Pro put Falcons in the Lower Bracket Final, where they faced Team Tickles. In the first game, Falcons demolished the ex-Geek Fam stack to be up 1-0. Unfortunately, in the second game, Team Tickles Offlaner Force had issues with his game. He tried restarting Dota three times, but simply could not reconnect to the game. After a long pause, the game was forced to resume with Team Tickles playing 4 vs 5. Due to this, Team Tickles called GG at the 22-minute mark, giving Falcons the series win.
These results have allowed Team Falcons to reach the Grand Final, where The Dudley Boyz awaits. The Grand Final series will be a Best of 5, and the winner will bag $50,000, while the second-place finisher receives $20,000.
