Team Falcons Become The First Finalist At BetBoom DACHA Dubai
The MENA representatives defeated the hosts, the BetBoom Team, in the Upper Bracket Final to secure a top 2 finish at the million-dollar event. The series ended 2-1 in favor of the Falcons.
In the first map, the Falcons got their hands on their comfort heroes, Mars for ATF, Puck for Malr1ne and Dragon Knight for skiter. However, a 24th pick Medusa proved to be the perfect last pick for the BetBoom Team. Going into the late game, the Falcons ran out of damage, and the BetBoom Team could steal the first map.
Team Falcons displayed a better showing on the second map, effectively playing the map well and preventing the BetBoom Team from taking any space. Gpk’s Tiny tried to make some plays but constantly failed and died multiple times. The Falcons executed better team fights and won the game to keep the series level.
In the decisive third map, the BetBoom Team fell victim to Malr1ne’s 24th pick Grandmaster tier Huskar. The Falcons demolished the early game and snowballed their advantage to a quick 28-minute GG call from the Eastern European side.
With this result, the Falcons have secured a spot in the Grand Final, while the BetBoom Team fell to the Lower Bracket. The winner of Team Liquid vs. Azure Ray will face the host team for a final chance to meet the Falcons in the grand finale.
