Division 1 in Western Europe kicks off on May 15, and here is an in-depth look at the teams in the third tour of the DPC. The Bali Major 2023 has 3,500 DPC points to draw, so it will be important for participants to qualify for The International 12.

Team Liquid (miCKe, Nisha, zai, Boxi, iNSaNiA)

The nominal leader of the region has been amazing this DPC season. They have never fallen below 2nd place at any of their tournaments. In two DPC tours in a row, Liquid was the strongest one. Since the team is already guaranteed entry to The International 12, they can relax on this DPC tour.

Gladiators (dyrachyo, Quinn, Ace, tOfu, Seleri)

The Gladiators start the DPC Summer Tour as the favorite. The two-time major champions have retained their roster and will try to make it to The Bali Major 2023. According to analyst Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen, the team is already on par with Team Liquid in their chances of making it to The International 12, but the players better not let their guard down and get at least into the league's top-4. That should be easy for them.

Tundra Esports (skiter, Nine, 33, Saksa, Sneyking)

Tundra Esports is an uncomfortable opponent for many clubs. This team steadily holds its position in the region and still is the reigning champion of The International. According to the results of two tours, skiter and his teammates never dropped under the 3rd place. In the majors, they improved from 9th place in Lima to 6th place in Berlin.

Entity (watson, Stormstormer, Tobi, Kataomi, Fishman)

Entity's roster has remained unchanged for a long time, which deserves respect. Tobi will try to prove that the criticism against him was unfounded. In the first tour of the DPC, Entity made it to the major, and in the second tour, they fought Monaspa and Nigma Galaxy for the right to stay in the first division. Such serious competition in Western Europe.

Team Secret (Crystallis, Armel, BOOM, yamich, Puppey)

In the first DPC tour, Team Secret included BOOM on mid, Resolut1on, Zayac, Puppey, and Crystallis. And they unexpectedly dropped to the second division, earning only 1 win and 6 losses.

By the second tour, Team Secret was seriously transformed. BOOM switched to three instead of Resolution, Armel was moved to the center, and yamich replaced Zayac as the new four. With this roster, they easily passed through the second division with the only loss in 7 matches: 13 wins and only 3 maps given up.

In the second tour, they could impose competition on the top teams. The results were a true sensation: victory against the Gladiators (2:1), against Tundra (2:0), against Entity (2:0), and they even managed to take over the map from Team Liquid, who are in first place in the regular season. In the off-season, they had only one substitution: ATF came to replace Wuiter, and they even won European Pro League Season 8 with him.

OG (Yuragi, bzm, DM, Taiga, Chu)

For them, the season began with Misha on the five, which resulted in 5th place in the first tour. After that, Chu moved from the coach slot to the player role, and Misha became the mentor of the renewed OG. In the second DPC tour, OG was in the relegation zone, but they pulled themselves together and even qualified for the ESL One Berlin Major 2023. There they played with 2 substitutions: Mind_ControL instead of DM, Kitrak instead of Chu. And it worked. With the substitutions, OG performed well at the major and took 5th-6th place.

D1 Hustlers (Shad, adzantick, Davai Lama, Thiolicor, Xakoda)

The team started the first tour of DPC with a completely different roster: Shad, Mirage, Davai Lama, Alex, and Flash. After the top-4, the team thought to change its roster radically. In place of Shad comes Yuma, adzantick on mid, and Thiolicor with Xakoda for support. With this roster, the D2 Hustlers transformed into the D1 Hustlers and moved to the first division. The only forced substitution: Shad returned and replaced Yuma, as he decided to go to the second division with Nigma Galaxy.
