The TI winners have announced on their social networks that they will not attend ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 due to health and medical reasons.
Team Spirit released a statement regarding the situation:
“We regret to inform you that our DOTA roster will not be able to take part in ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. After returning from the USA, several of our players need to undergo a medical examination, which may be followed by treatment.
We thank the organizers for the invite, but we will be forced to participate only as spectators. We wish all teams good luck and good games. We hope to meet next time.”
The available slot will be passed to the Western Europe Closed Qualifiers, where new teams such as Team Secret and Falcons can prove their worth.
