Team Liquid Reverse Sweep Gaimin Gladiators To Win 2-1
The matchup we’ve seen in the Grand Final of almost every tournament in 2023 was replayed in the Upper Bracket of PGL Wallachia Season 1. Team Liquid turned out to be the stronger team, taking down the Gaimin Gladiators after a 2-1 series.
The first map was a total stomp in favor of the Gladiators. Ace and Quinn had perfect games on Slardar and Leshrac, shutting down Team Liquid in a fast 34-minute victory.
Team Liquid took off to an early lead in the second map, but both teams played passively and the Gladiators could farm their way back to an even game. However, a massive team fight broke out in the 33rd minute, with Team Liquid winning it and taking Roshan to end the game.
The final map was a complete outdraft in favor of Team Liquid. The boys in blue essentially won every lane, but dyrachyo’s Luna went to the jungle and farmed his way to the top of the net worth chart. Quinn and Ace did not have a good game like they did in the first, as 33’s Bristleback was beginning to go out of control.
After taking Roshan,Team Liquid stormed the enemy high ground, and the Gladiators were not ready to defend, giving up Mega Creeps very early into the game and eventually losing the series.
The Liquid boys are greeted with bad news, as they will play Team Falcons next. Meanwhile, the Gladiators will play an elimination series against BOOM Esports.
