Team Falcons Make It To The Final Day Of Riyadh Masters Over Tundra Esports

Despite looking weaker than in previous tournaments, Team Falcons have once again survived until the final day of a tournament. The MENA squad took down Tundra Esports in the Lower Bracket to secure a Top 3 finish.

The first map featured interesting drafts from both sides. Despite going 0/6/7 against PSG Quest earlier in the day, ATF went for another round of picking Slark in the Offlane. Meanwhile, Topson picked Faceless Void Mid with the Time Zone facet. Not only were our pubs ruined, but Tundra couldn’t execute their game plan properly and eventually lost in 37 minutes.

The second game was a much better showing from Tundra Esports . They had comfort picks on all five players, but so did the Falcons. Pure’s Morphling had Aegis and decided to push high ground at the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a mistake as the Falcons could successfully defend and take full control of the map. The game-ending fight occurred at the 50th minute, where the Falcons could kill off Pure with no buyback and end the game.

Overall, it was a very good run for Tundra Esports, but the players wanted nothing short of perfection:

RAMZES666: “Pos 3 diff. I’m trash, sorry.”

Pure“We were just worse as a team, nothing more to say. I’m tired.”

Tundra Esports exit the tournament in 4th place, taking home $400,000. We have to remember that RAMZES666 hasn’t been on the roster for too long, so the squad shouldn’t be too sad. Meanwhile, the Falcons will face Team Liquid in the Lower Bracket Final for a chance to play against the Gaimin Gladiators
