Team Falcons Eliminate BB Team After Surviving Cinematic Comeback Attempt
The International 2024 is finally back, and all matches from this point onward will be played on the stage of the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The first series between Team Falcons and the BetBoom Team has already delivered with an intense second game.
In the first game, the Eastern European squad had a great start to the early game. However, a disastrous team fight at the bottom lane resulted in Team Falcons completely wiping out their opposition, and the game went out of control in favor of the MENA squad from then on.
After several failed attempts of killing Malr1ne's Sand King, the BetBoom Team could not survive and had to call GG in only 25 minutes.
The second map looked like it was over 5 minutes into the game. Malr1ne counter-picked gpk~’s Storm Spirit in the Mid Lane, and killed him three times. However, MieRo` was the biggest loser out of the laning stage, being stuck at level 4 by the 10th minute.
Team Falcons continued stomping the game, but the BetBoom Team had one win condition, which was Saika’s Medusa who was getting good farm. After turtling the game, Saika managed to farm a Divine Rapier, helping his team win two fights in a row to bring the game back to even from a 30,000 net worth deficit.
After claiming Roshan, Saika marched down the Mid Lane attempting to take the Barracks, but Team Falcons perfectly executed an assassination on him, turning the game back in their favor and closing it before Tier 5 items hit.
Unfortunately, we must bid farewell to the BetBoom Team who will bow out in 8th place. Meanwhile, Team Falcons move on to the Top 6 and will play the loser of Team Liquid vs. Cloud9.
