Overview of DPC Eastern Europe Division One Matches for June 1

News
Published at: 2023-06-01 17:17:00

On the first day of June, the Eastern European Division will feature two best of 3 matches. The first match of the day features 9 Pandas taking on Hydra, and the day ends with an undefeated Team Spirit facing off against One Move.

9 Pandas 2-0 Hydra

Hydra’s chances of staying in Division I are still in question, and winning this match could put them in a safe spot. However, 9 Pandas won’t give this win for free, as winning this series could help them make it to the Major.

Game 1

In the first game, 9 Pandas did a switch up in their draft, making RAMZES666 play Void Spirit on Carry, while kiyotaka played Morphling on the Mid Lane. Despite a weak early game, 9 Pandas were able to recover and put themselves back on track. The game went late, where 9 Pandas were able to take a great team fight at the 38-minute mark to propel them to win the game.

Game 2

In Game 2, the laning stage came out even, and the early game was kept stale. 9 Pandas could slowly out farm the side of Hydra with their Magnus and Naga Siren lineup. Eventually, the gold advantage on 9 Pandas became too much for Hydra, as 9 Pandas won a team fight inside Hydra’s high ground and ended the game shortly after.

Team Spirit 2-1 One Move

Team Spirit are guaranteed to go to the Bali Major if they win this match against One Move.

Game 1

One Move took a slight advantage in net worth coming out of the laning stage, but the gold lead was kept at a minimum until the 28-minute mark when the game started to shift. A big team fight broke out at the Dire Top Tier 2 area, where Spirit were able to win with the help of an Aegis on Larl’s Storm Spirit. Team Spirit used this team fight win to take control of the game and end it at 37 minutes.

Game 2 - Game To Watch

For Game 2, Spirit went for their reliable Juggernaut in the hands of Yatoro, but One Move found the answer to Spirit’s favorite hero pick. One Move destroyed the laning stage, building up a 5,000 net worth lead at 12 minutes. They continued to maintain control over the game, but Team Spirit were able to take some good engagements to keep their chances alive.

There were many back-and-forth team fights, and One Move had difficulty ending the game despite their advantage in gold. However, Ainkrad’s excellent performance on Queen of Pain was able to help One Move cross the finish line and end the game at 55 minutes. Ainkrad finished the game 19/1/15, with an abysmal 143,000 hero damage—an extraordinary performance from the 23-year-old.

Game 3

Spirit were done playing around and wanted to secure their spot in the last Dota 2 Major of the season. They had a much better time in the laning phase of Game 3 than the other two games. Team Spirit could completely shut down One Move’s map using their early-game advantage. Larl on Storm Spirit had a superb game, going 12/0/8 to force One Move to concede the game only 22 minutes in. Team Spirit have now qualified for the Bali Major.
