Gaimin Gladiators Win Their First Title Of 2024
The Gaimin Gladiators have returned to their 2023 form, defeating Team Liquid 3-0 in the Grand Final of the Riyadh Masters 2024 tournament. The squad will take home $1,500,000 for their efforts.
Unfortunately, the Grand Final series wasn’t too interesting, as Team Liquid failed to find a solution to the Gaimin Gladiators deathball strategy.
Quinn was named the MVP of the entire tournament, and received an additional bonus of $50,000.
Riyadh Masters 2024 event had an interesting “keys” system. Each team had one key, and must give it up to the team that eliminated them. Since the Gladiators won the event, they were responsible for knocking out several teams and collecting their keys.
At the end of the tournament, the champions could choose three keys, which will be melted and poured to the actual trophy.
The Riyadh MVP was responsible for choosing the keys for his team, and decided on the following:
Team Falcons - “They should treat their opponents with more respect.”
Team Spirit - “They crushed our dreams last year by beating us in the finals of Ti12.”
Team Liquid - “To be honest, it’s just for fun. We beat them too many times.”
Nisha was visibly seen holding back his tears after yet another failure to lift a trophy. Still, Team Liquid will go home with $800,000 which is a huge chunk of money.
